Manual Swap Note: When finalizing a manual transmission conversion, you can swap to an R33 manual radiator to permanently bypass the automatic transmission fluid cooler loop located at the bottom of the stock radiator. If you just bypass the radiator loop and strictly run an external cooler, you will need to add 0.5 to 0.75L of Nissan Matic-J or Castrol Transmax fluid to the system.

Wiring Note: The Z32 sensor uses vertical blades; the Stagea uses horizontal blades. Use extreme caution to de-pin and reuse your old Stagea plug. Alternatively, harvest a Z32 harness-side plug from a scrap yard and splice it into your chassis harness to permanently avoid re-pinning in the future.

Battery Clearances
Japanese spec battery posts are narrow. If running standard US sizes (51/51R, 34, 34/78), you will need to cut and replace your terminal ends.
FMIC Clearances: If running front-mount intercooler piping, size down to an 86 or 75/86 dual-terminal battery to clear the cold-side pipe.

Overview: R34 Skyline specific. Upgraded crankshaft, RB26DETT rods, 9.0:1 compression.

Turbocharger: 45V3 enlarged exhaust housing and plastic impeller (Max boost 10 psi). Note: From 2001, a 45V4 turbo with steel impeller was installed.

Stage 1: Basic Bolt-Ons (~350 WHP | Mid-13s 1/4 Mile)
The stock turbo is limited to 10-13 psi (0.7-0.9 bar).
Required Mods: 3-inch performance exhaust, GTR front-mount intercooler, Apexi power intake, Z32 MAF, electronic boost controller, new spark plugs, new water pump.
Recommended Add-Ons: GTR N1 oil pump, aftermarket oil cooler, Walbro 255 LPH pump, standalone ECU.

Stage 2: Turbo Upgrade (~350 to 400 WHP)
Turbocharger: GT2835 T3.
Fuel & Spark: GT-R R35 550 cc/min injectors, NISMO FPR, Audi ignition coil conversion.
Cooling: 3-core aluminum radiator.
Boost Targets: 15 psi = ~350 WHP | 22 psi = ~400 WHP (Requires ARP Head Studs).

Stage 3: High Power (400 to 500+ WHP | ~11s 1/4 Mile)
Turbocharger: GT3540.
Valvetrain & Fueling: 256/256 aftermarket camshafts, upgraded valve springs, 750 cc/min injectors.
Boost Target: 15 psi on this turbo yields ~400 WHP.
Block Limits: Stock internals hold up to 500 HP. For reliable power over 500-600 HP, you must upgrade to GTR rods, forged pistons, MLS head gasket, ARP studs, and cylinder head porting.
